Every Outfit Has a Story
From Tirupati to Canada, the story of Rangeelaa continues one outfit at a time.
Me and My home town
Hi, I’m Satya… the founder of Rangeelaa.
And this is my story.
It didn’t start with a business plan…
or even the idea of building a brand.
It started much earlier… in Tirupati — the place I grew up in and still carry deeply in my heart.
Surrounded by hills, temples, and everyday life, Tirupati is a place filled with warmth, devotion, colors, and simple moments… where life flows in its own beautiful rhythm.
Finding Beauty in Imperfection
I grew up surrounded by busy streets, colourful fabrics, temple lanes, and simple everyday moments.
Nothing around me was polished or perfect — but it all carried warmth, life, and character.
And somewhere in those moments, I think I first learned to see beauty in things that are not perfect — things that are worn, overlooked, yet still full of story.
That feeling slowly became the heart of Rangeelaa.
It started at home...
At home, I watched my mom, Vijaya, handle sarees in a way I didn’t fully understand back then.
They were never just clothes.
She would carefully keep them… reuse them… reshape them…
and turn them into something new.
Nothing was wasted.
At that time, it felt normal.
But somewhere… that idea stayed with me.
A small beginning
Years later, when Covid began turning the world upside down — when everything felt uncertain and heavy — that little idea found its way back to me.
So together with my childhood friend Santhi, we started small.
In a simple two-bedroom flat.
With our very first artisan, Reshma.
There was no big studio.
No perfect roadmap.
Just a quiet belief — that beautiful things could still be created from what already exists.
The Heart of Rangeelaa
Over time, Rangeelaa grew…
but not just as a business.
It became a space for women.
A space where skill, care, patience, and creativity come together.
Every piece we make carries the work of these incredible women —
and honestly, they are the real heart of Rangeelaa.
Where sarees find a second life
Our journey often begins in the most unexpected places.
Small, humble godowns filled with sarees collected from homes.
We go through piles and piles…
touching, feeling, choosing.
Not every saree becomes a Rangeelaa creation.
Only the ones that still feel like they have something left in them…
something worth bringing back to life.
Made slowly, with care
Once a saree is chosen, the real work begins.
It is cut, stitched, and sometimes mended — slowly transformed into something new.
Nothing is rushed.
Every piece takes time.
Every piece carries effort.
Every piece matters.
My life now
Today, my life is split between Tirupati and Canada.
And honestly… none of this would be possible without my family ❤️
Balu, my furry baby, my son and my husband — quietly standing beside me through every step of this journey.
Through the chaos, the long days, the distance, the dreams… they have been my constant strength.
When It comes alive
The most beautiful part of this journey…
is seeing women wear Rangeelaa.
Each one wears it differently.
Each one makes it her own.
That’s when it truly comes alive.
Why I do this
Rangeelaa is not just about clothing.
It is about giving sarees a second life…
and turning something once loved into something loved again.
It is about people…
and the stories that continue through what we wear.
And with every piece,
we promise to create with care…
and bring you the best we possibly can.
Thank you for being a part of this journey.
Namasthe.
