Copy of My Story
Hi, I’m Satya… the founder of Rangeelaa.
And this is my story.
It didn’t start with a business plan…
or even the idea of building a brand.
It started much earlier… in a small temple town called Tirupati, my home town.
Tirupati is a town where hills, temples, and everyday life exist side by side.
Surrounded by forests and rugged hill ranges, it carries a quiet sense of devotion and warmth — a place where nature, faith, and life flow together in their own rhythm.

And somewhere in those busy streets and simple moments…
I think I first learned to see beauty in things that are not perfect.

***************
It started at home
At home, I watched my mom, Vijaya, handle sarees in a way I didn’t fully understand back then.
They were never just clothes.
She would carefully keep them… reuse them… reshape them…
and turn them into something new.
Nothing was wasted.
At that time, it felt normal.
But somewhere… that idea stayed with me.

*******
A small beginning
Years later, when Covid was starting to explode — when everything felt uncertain — that idea came back to me.
With my childhood friend Santhi, I started small…
In a two-bedroom flat…
with our first artisan, Reshma.
There was no big setup.
No perfect plan.
Just a simple belief — that something beautiful could come from what already exists.

*******
The heart of Rangeelaa
Over time, Rangeelaa grew…
but not just as a business.
It became a space for women.
A space where skill, care, patience, and creativity come together.
Every piece we make carries the work of these incredible women —
and honestly, they are the real heart of Rangeelaa.

Where sarees find a second life
Our journey often begins in the most unexpected places.
Small, humble godowns filled with sarees collected from homes.
We go through piles and piles…
touching, feeling, choosing.
Not every saree becomes a Rangeelaa creation.
Only the ones that still feel like they have something left in them…
something worth bringing back to life.

*******
Made slowly, with care
Once a saree is chosen, the real work begins.
It is cut, stitched, and sometimes mended — slowly transformed into something new.
Nothing is rushed.
Every piece takes time.
Every piece carries effort.
Every piece matters.

**********
My life now
Today, my life is split between Tirupati and Canada.
And honestly… none of this would be possible without my family.
Balu, my furry baby…
and my son, and my husband — quietly standing beside me through it all.

*******
When It comes alive
The most beautiful part of this journey…
is seeing women wear Rangeelaa.
Each one wears it differently.
Each one makes it her own.
That’s when it truly comes alive.

**********
Why I do this
Rangeelaa is not just about clothing.
It is about giving sarees a second life…
and turning something once loved into something loved again.
It is about people…
and the stories that continue through what we wear.
And with every piece,
we promise to create with care…
and bring you the best we possibly can.

Thank you for being a part of this journey.
Namasthe.
