Collection: Saree Silk Quilts

These quilts are crafted from preloved, super soft, and heavier sarees such as rubber silks, crepe silks, or Italian crepes. To create each quilt, we use three preloved cotton sarees as sandwiched layers between the two silk layers. Each side of the quilt is 1.5 saree widths, making them wider and more generous in size compared to the single throws commonly found elsewhere. Due to the three cotton sarees inside, these quilts are relatively heavier than the usual ones.

Please note that these quilts are distinct from kantha throws. Unlike kantha throws, which are typically made of cotton sarees and feature hand-done running stitches throughout, our quilts are made of silk sarees and do not have hand stitches. Although the sarees used are always ultra soft, the machine-done running stitches may give the end products a textured feel.

Please note that these handmade recycled items may possess slight imperfections, which are considered as authentic characteristics.
